Excalibur Heavy Duty Heating Copper Neck 280mm - Type 3 / 5 AHT & PHT All Sizes 

AHT Heavy Duty Copper Heating neck for use with the heavy duty Type 3 /5 acetylene mixer. The HD mixer and neck combination may be used with all sizes of AHT, #25, #50 and #100.
To ensure the AHT nozzle does not overheat ensure that you use a proper thick section copper AHT neck as these are designed work in synergy with the AHT nozzle.

The AHT heating tip provides instant "spot heating" provided by acetylene's unique ability to impart heat very quickly into the work piece which just cannot be achieved with any other commercially available oxy / fuel gas process.

Oxy / acetylene is the only mainstream fuel which burns with a neutral flame which can be so important for many processes.  Quick, instant spot heating right where you need it.

Due to the design the AHT nozzle range is more stable than when using a similar size single flame welding nozzle however the correct setting is just as important so set up correctly and when lighting the yellow acetylene flame remember to turn up the flow until the black soot / smoke just disappears then introduce the oxygen as that will set the correct nozzle flow.
When flowing correctly the nozzles should not snap out or go bang, if they do one or two factors are not correct with your set-up - most commonly it will be lack of flow or damage to the outlet holes.

It must be remembered that to operate the AHT 50 & AHT 100 safely a minimum of 2 industrial acetylene cylinders are required to be manifolded together so as to provide sufficient and safe flow of acetylene. Without the correct flow of acetylene the heat output will be significantly lower than that required plus operating difficulties will result which may also render the gas equipment useless!!

It is also possible to fit the PHT #15, #30 & #60 to the neck so that you may operate with Oxy / propane.
