Air / Propane Broad Flame Burner Size 6 - 1200g / hour
Air / propane broad flame burners provide a wide soaking heat flame shape and the flame is more likely to wrap around pipes whihch makes the burners suitable for applications such as brazing joints, soldering joints, warming articles, warming larger diameter heat shrink sleeve to seal cable joints. The #6 broad flame burner would be ideal for the soldering of 22 mm through to 44mm diameter central heating copper pipe joints and of course many more general heating applications.
As with all air / propane burners when set correctly the maximum flame temperature will be 1900 Celsius, the maximum temperature is generally at a point about 50% along the overall flame length when operating at full flow. When operating at less than full flow the hotest part of the flame will be closer to the burner. The volume of heat available increases with nozzle size, the #6 nozzle is oneof the medium sized broad flame nozzle and consumes 1200 grams of gas per hour.
The other burner sizes in the range are #4, #5, #7 & #8 plus there is also smaller range of needle point flame nozzles, #1, #2 & #3 designed where the small concentrated heat is required.
The #6 broad flame burners would normally be used with the 200mm long neck or the 500mm neck but may of course be fitted to the longer necks..
