PHT - "Pepper Pot" heating head PHT #16, PHT #30 & PHT #60
These are the oxy/propane alternative to the AHT heating nozzles, being propane fuelled these heating nozzles provide less heat output than the original acetylene version however when more heat is required the Super Heating nozzle range should be used.
The 3 sizes in the PHT heating nozzle range provides the convenience and cost effectiveness of being able to used with similar torch set-up whilst operating with oxy/propane. A propane regulator & propane hose will be required. Type 3 or Type 5 shank with the acetylene heavy duty mixer and the copper heavy duty AHT neck need to be used to attain the flow.
It is important that the cheap brass AHT #25 heating necks are not used, the copper neck is designed as a heat sink to conduct heat away from the PHT (AHT) so the nozzles function correctly and safely.
Please remember that if you are used to using the oxy / acetylene AHT by comparison the PHT is less effective, as it is less able to impart the heat into the plate.
Also burning propane requires much more oxygen 4::1 ratio compared to oxy / acetylene of 1.1::1
