Spot Weld Contact Face Reforming Tool
The combination of heat, pressure and arc flashes means that your spot weld contact tip faces become deformed which in turn alters the spot weld characteristics and joint strength. The vast majority of spot weld contact tips are of sufficient length to provide a long useful working life, this sharpening tool is simple to use and ensures your spot weld joints maintain full strength.
Simply fit your spot weld tool arbour into your drill chuck, set the speed to 400 to 500 rpm, re-facing the contact only takes about 5 seconds. Don't apply too much pressure and check every 1 to 2 seconds to clear the swarf away and check on the contact tip face shape.
The spot weld contact tips needs to be held securely to avoid chatter.
There are replacement blades available (spares not included) which have 4 cutting edges, 2 x domed and 2 convex.
