90 degree cylinder adaptors are generally used when there has been a switch made from one gas supplier to another where the orientation of the cylinder valve has changed. The 90 degree cylinder allows the regulator to be fitted in the correct and safe orientation.

Please note that these are better quality than many and have larger, easier to use connection nuts.
