Gala Gar Heavy Duty Soldering Torch with Large Copper Bit - Air / Propane - Ideal for Soldering Sheet Metals

Box gutters and sheet metal soldering applcations - this large copper bit soldering torch provides enough heat soak / conduction to provide quick and efficient soldered joints, The burner is relatively powerful and provdes enough energy to quickly regain full heat and when short runs are required the burner may be turned down to impart less heat so you don't "over cook" the copper bit.  The copper bit is shaped to enable heat to be applied tight into corners.

Please note that the copper bit may need to be cleaned and tinned prior to use.

This is a complete torch designed by Gala Gar for heavy duty soldering applications utilising a large copper bit.  The special soldering burner nozzle is designed just for use in heating the large copper soldering bit.  The distance between the burner and bit is adjustable so as to allow the most efficient heating of the large copper soldering bit at each chosen gas flow.
The soldering handle has a needle valve flow control so may be precisely set for each use.  Please note due to the high heat retention of the large copper bit the torch distance and heat settings should be chosen before lighting the torch as it is not generally possible to make effective adjustments / changes while the copper bit has been heated.  When a lower heat setting is required it is necessary to be patient to allow the burner to impart sufficient heat into the bit to be effective.  Frequency of soldering joints, joint size will also need to be taken into account for the dissipation of heat from the large copper bit, set against the required burner setting to restore the heat.

Air / propane soldering torch is manufactured in Spain and has features to help make working with this shank efficient and simple.  The inlet connection has a nipple suitable for 6mm or 6.3mm bore propane hose which means the more flexible hoses may be fitted making the torch easier to hold and work with.  The needle valve built in to this Air / LPG shank ensures simple and efficient working allowing accurate setting for the special soldering burner.
