AGNM # 13 , #19 & #25 Acetylene Gouging Nozzle

Nothing can beat the power of the oxy/acetylene flame and the ability to impart the heat quickley into the plate / weld seam to be removed / repalced.

Technique is important because the gouging nozzles are bent to facilitate the gouge process, as with all oxy/ fuel cutting you need to establish the ignition spot, therefore directly aim the nozzle pre-heats at the point the ignition spot is required, once ready lower the torch to your gouging position and introduce the "cutting" oxygen - bleed it in gently otherwise the gouge path will "run away" from you!

It is best to invest in a torch with a straight head (180 degrees) for gouging as this makes the process so much easier to control.
Our gouging nozzles have a wear tip which allows both forward or backward gouging techniques.

It is very important to set the correct acetylene flow when lighting up - Yellow acetylene flame no soot should be present at all - across all three sizes.  Only size #13 may be used on a single large industrial DA cylinder  this is due to the high flow of acetylene required to operate the nozzles correctly and safely.

Produced to our own design to be better than most gouging nozzles available on the market, Noz-Alls AGNM has been designed to perform correctly and safely.
The AGNM #13 has been made to be more stable than the traditional design and will operate correctly and safely on a single large acetylene cylinder.  Noz-Alls AGNM #13 has seven pre-heats, similar to the #19 & #25. (Other #13 in the market only have 5 pre-heats).
Both the AGNM #19 & #25 have to be operated from a minimum of 2 large industrial acetylene cylinders manifolded together to be able to provide sufficient acetylene flow to operate correctly and safely.  Some of the newer tall slim DA cylinder may require 3 cylinders to operate a single nozzle.
  • AGNM-7  # 13      Gouge path width 6-8mm  gouge path depth  3-8mm
  • AGNM-7  # 19      Gouge path width 8-11mm  gouge path depth  6-11mm
  • AGNM-7  # 25      Gouge path width 10-13mm  gouge path depth  10-13mm
Do not set the "cutting" oxygen pressure too high as this will make gouging more difficult to control - use the pressure indicated on the nozzle.
