Hose Oxygen 6.3mm Bore x 20m Long Blue Hose G3/8 + G3/8 HCV Conti-tech
Good quality standard Conti-tech blue 6mm oxygen hose in a 20 meter length.
Noz-Alls sayThis hose is perfect for your standard cutting torch or welding setup. At Noz-Alls we supply this hose with a 3/8" BSP right hand nut for connection to your flash back arrestor and a 3/8" BSP hose check valve (HCV) for connection to the oxygen inlet on your torch / shank.
Noz-Alls supply European Conti-tech hose with our own designed hose check valve - the reason for this is that many HCVs supplied with hoses from even some of the most reputable manufacturers are not leak free. Our HCVs are all 100% tested in Cheltenham and are tested to ensure they are leak free from 6 millibar (0.087 psi).
Conti-tech Standard hose is a little more costly than the cheap imported hose but should cost less in the long run as it will last longer and function correctly. For arduous use we do supply the heavy duty Conti-tech hose which is more like the "old fashined hose" of BOC / Murex from 25 years ago - Cost more but worth it. For really ardous conditions we also supply hoses with steel and stainless steel overbraid - generally made to order.
Noz-Alls stock unfitted hose coils to make hoses up to order. When making a hose up ourselves we use the best "O" clip on the market. The Oetiker stainless steel single ear "O" clip with tongue which offers a full 360 degree seal around the head of the nipple. We only use Knippex original pliers to tighten these "O" clips, put simply, the proper tool for the job. In line with the hose standard these clips are not adjustable and have to be cut off to be removed.
Should your company require hoses with fittings clamped with hose ferrules then we do have an hydraulic hose fitting tool which we use - please specify this when you order.
Many suppliers of hoses are not fully aware of the BS EN standards with regards to the fittings that should be used. Our hoses are all fitted with nuts that conform to the correct standard and nipples / hose tails that are of the correct design, i.e. an oversized barb which usually requires the hose to be heated to push on. Theoretically once fitted they should not leak even without an "O" clip. Other nipples that get used simple slide into the hose and rely on the crimp or the clip to keep the hose attached.
