Kemper Group Blow Torch - 1062E Turbo Torch With Piezo Ignition
Professional grade blowtorch for use with the small connection thread gas canisters (7/16" UNF). Adapter also available for fitting to the yellow or blue 1" threaded cylinders such as Rothenberger's MAPP gas or Propane.
The Kemper blowtorch makes use of the vortex flame which enables the rotating flame to envelope the tube to make complete heating around a pipe much easier.
This is a top quality blowtorch handle very solidly built - weighs 650g - without the gas canister attached.
The controls have been ergonomically placed enabling easy ignition with the piezo ignition / gas on / off flow valve / button. The yellow gas flow valve may be locked in position with the lock button which enables the flame to be maintained, without depressing the gas flow button. The gas flow valve may also be locked in the "off" position so as to prevent inadvertent gas venting which improves safety.
The flame size may be adjusted using the needle valve mounted on the top of the neck close to the handle grip.
Once heated the blowtorch may be used in a full 360 degree orientation which allows for heating at any angle - typically takes about 2 minutes to get up to full operating temperature.
As a professional if you use the larger threaded (1" OD) gas canisters then we have an adaptor available to screw on to the blowtorch inlet which allows the propane or propylene (MAP) canisters to be used rather than the cheap mixed gas canisters (which generally contain higher amounts of Butane). Adaptor part number PA3162
The Kemper Group packing box shows a temperature of 24000C - not sure where they get their flame temperature figures? Realistically the flame temperature is about 18500C to 19200C.
Gas consumption is shown as 282grams per hour which mean a typical gas canister with 330g contents will last for 1 hour and 10 minutes at full flow.
