CWS Thermic Lance Collet - 15.5 to 16.6mm OD Lances – Fits Cole Metal Lances

This mild steel collet is designed to suit the lower cost Cole Metal Products replacement of the traditional 3/8” Water Pipe packed thermic lances – the old “Water Pipe” was originally a low cost solution to make a thermic lance from – the old “water pipe” is not used in industry so has been more and more expensive to source, therefore an alternative tube size had to be found. 
3/8” Water Pipe was 16.67mm OD
Cole Metal Products – opted to go smaller in size (lower in cost) going with 15.8mm OD tube (5/8" dia.) packed with 14 off 2,5mm diameter filler rods.

This collet will grip the smaller diameter thermic lance and does also require the correct seal so as to seal the lance tube against the lance body, a seal is provided with the collet.
 
At Noz-Alls, when you opt for our larger thermic lance, we went the other way, going up in size to 18mm tube packed with 13 off 3mm diameter filler rods.  This provides much greater cutting capacity and more fuel when compared to the smaller diameter Cole Metal thermic lance which provides greater value for money.

Thanks to the design of the collet, it is extremely long life and shouldn't need replacing but if it was to become damaged, we have spares.
