Lt. Wt. Flexible Welding Nozzle

Light Weight (Lt. wt.) flexible welding nozzle available in sizes #1, #2, #3, #5 designed to screw directly into the FN / Orbit / Saffire Lite acetylene welding mixer.  All the flexible nozzle sizes are suitable for use with the HobbyWeld portapak size acetylene cylinder.

The Noz-Alls brand Flexible welding nozzles are superior to most as they have a swaged copper tip flame outlet instead of the lower cost brass drilled tip.

Nozzles are supplied in the straight condition with only annealed tube at each end, due to the manufacturuing process, therefore so as to be able to bend the tube where required, it is important to heat the middle tube section to dull red and quench in cold water so as to anneal the copper tube thereby allowing the flexible nozzle to be bent

The four sizes chosen for these flexible welding nozzles have been based on the UK
welding nozzle sizes :-

• Flex Size #1 A     =  1CFH of DA / hour
• Flex Size #2 A     =  2CFH of DA / hour
• Flex Size #3 A     =  3CFH of DA / hour
• Flex Size #5 A     =  5CFH of DA / hour

The copper tube work hardens fairly quickly so needs to be annealed to allow the flexible nozzle to be manipluated once again.
When a bend is required at a specific point then anneal just that point by heating the tube until dull red and quenching in cold water.  This process may be repeated many times. - do not heat close to the tip head as head is silver soldered in position!
