Syringe Style - Spark Lighter with Piezo Generated Spark 

Simple to be used in either your left or right hand this piezo spark lighter requires the central plunger to be pushed down, in most cases using your fingers and a thumb. 
Piezo lighters do not provide the shower of sparks that a flint lighter does, this is not generally a problem as the "limited spark" requires a higher volume of gas to enable the ignition to be established which is better for lighting up in the correct way.

A typical piezo spark lighter  - squeeze the button – creates pressure on the crystal which when released generates the spark.
Piezo spark lighters do not require replacement flints – these can last for many years, however they can be damaged when dropped, they can be burnt plus they can just stop working.

Piezo spark lighters do not generally require replacement as often as traditional flint type spark lighters.   This piezo spark lighter I would term as a "gas hob" spark lighter as it is not as robust as the heavy duty "welding piezo spark lighter".
