Smith Little Torch or Uniweld Artorch  Hose Inlet Connections  -  American to UK Fittings

If you have not bought your Artorch or Little Torch from Noz-Alls then you may need to convert your copy of the Smith Little torch inlet connections to UK standard inlet connections - G3/8.   

Set consists of; 
3/8 BSP Right Hand Nut
3/8 BSP Left Hand Nut
2x 3/8 3mm Nipple
2x O clips max 8.7mm

Many torches will only be supplied with American fittings. This set will allow you to cut off your American fittings (some you can just pull off because they don't conform to UK standards) and refit UK fittings. 

If you have just cut with a knife, melt the ends of the red and green fibre covering the hose to stop it from fraying. Heat the hose in a cup of freshly boiled water to make the hose more flexible, the nipples will be tight to push on. 

So, for when you have bought an American style torch with American fittings then this simple kit will convert the hose inlet connections to those suitable to fit to your regulator mounted flashback arrestors.

To close down the Oetiker hose clamps supplied in the kit you will require a pair of the following:-
    Either             "O" clip pliers,
                          or a pair of pincers (used to remove nails)
                          or a pair of side cutters. (Used to cut wire)
The above tools are all capable of correctly closing down the hose clip ear - DO NOT use engineers or long nose pliers.
The Oetiker original hose clamps supplied are special stainless steel clamps which provide a full 360 degree clamp pressure with leak proof seal, when closed correctly.

Beware of Smith copies
Just a quick note on the fake / copies of the Smith Little Torch - the copies are fake and are not the same as original torches. This is shown in the overall quality of the torch. We have tested some that we have had brought into us. Some are dangerous, some just don't work and none so far have had correctly sized nozzles. Add to this none of the nozzles have the jewelled outlet orifice despite stating on the box they do. 

The fake torches should not be bought and used for your own safety. 

This fitting pack will convert Genuine American Smith Little Torch or the Uniweld Artorch to work with UK gas equipment. If you do have a copy torch then this set of fittings will allow you to pressure and leak test to check its safety. Fully immersed under water to check for leaks.
