Genuine American Micro Welding Artorch from Uniweld.
Artorch set includes shank fitted with 2m UK spec, Blue and Orange hoses plus 5 micro welding nozzles. Note Size #1 has been dropped due to lack of sales. Size #2 & #3 both have the industrial sapphire orifice to ensure flame size / flow and stability.
Using Oxy / Acetylene gases enables the highest flame temperature of 3106 degrees Celsius to be achieved with the smallest of welding cones. This is the hottest flame temperature for all the fuel gas available - 3106o C = 5622o F.
Oxy / acetylene is able to be used for fusion welding due to the fact that the flame is "neutral" i.e. no excess oxygen.
The micro flame welding nozzles are designed to undertake such operations as to heat and join very small parts like jewellery, dental wires, electronic circuits and components plus every micro operation you can think of.
The "UK" style microbore hose is super light and flexible, we fit these hoses at Noz-Alls to ensure the torch system complies with UK & European regulations. the hoses are normally terminated with G3/8 BSP connections for connection to the FBA / regulator outlet connections.
Note:
These American Artorrch sets have had the 1.8m red & green hoses replaced with longer UK coloured and better quality hoses. (Original hoses are available).
Welding nozzle size conversions from US to UK equate as the following:-
USA Size |
UK Size |
#1 |
#1/20th |
#2 |
#1/14th |
#3 |
#1/6th |
#4 |
#1 |
#5 |
#2 |
The UK welding nozzle size was based on burning a cubic foot of acetylene per hour
therefore #1 = 1 CFH , #2 = 2 CFH, #7 = 7CFH of acetylene / hour.
Each UK welding nozzle should be able to be turned down to 50% of the design full flow.
UK #1 = 26 L/hr therefore Artorch micro nozzle #2 = 1.86 L/hr
Picture shows size #3 flame size alight at full flow.
Please be aware that this type of flame is not possible to achieve with cheap copies.
Some of the copy torches we have inspected and tested at Noz-Alls have been positively dangerous.
