When it comes to lead welding torches then our CWS torch is possibly the best in the market.
With our Model "O" torch we don't just buy and sell any old torch and say it is produced to a UK design, technically all Model O torches are. It is after all a British torch type.
Every Model O torch that is processed by Noz-Alls has more than 60 minutes solid working time spent on it (not including setup time, testing time and time to coat the torch with red and blue). We do all of this to ensure our Model O torches are 1st rate and the best on the market. Upon reassembly, we use new UK produced O-rings and then leak test 100% of our torches as well as flame testing 10%.

Our Model O torch flame does not adjust when you turn your hand over to start working with the lead. The flame size that you set will not adjust at the smallest of knocks on the valve knobs. The torch will perform beautifully and adjust accurately to your needs with a precise and stable flame. The oxygen and propylene / propane nozzles provide the correct sharp pointed flame cone, very similar to the original oxy / acetylene Model O nozzles.

Of course, a top quality lead torch is nothing without a top quality welding tip. All our Model O propane welding nozzles (sizes P1 to P5) are finished by ourselves. They will run propane or propylene perfectly fine. This ensures you get the quality that you really deserve and of course you get a proper flame shape making use a lot easier. Please ensure you continue this trend and when you need more tips ensure you order our CWS oxy / propane tips. Sizes P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5. The operating pressures for use with the Model "O" oxy / propane nozzles is very low, therefore set both the oxygen and propane / propylene pressure right at the bottom of the pressure range. We supply this particular Model O setup with 2 meters of special hose (2m as standard longer optional) so you don't get just the chunky standard 6,3mm bore hoses.
Our hose is specially produced for ourselves and adheres to BS EN 3821 despite not being required to. This hose is super flexible and you barely notice the hose on the end of the torch. This makes holding and using the torch much easier and should enable you to get a neater finish on your lead joint / welds.
Our mini set just means smaller - with industrial standards
At Noz-Alls we always try to do things sensibly, some suppliers of slightly cheaper kits have the hoses fit directly to a nipple on the regulator. If and when the nipple snaps from an accidental knock they are unfortunately faced with having to buy a new regulator. Our hoses, no problem. No built in nipples to the regulator and the nipple in the hose is quick and easy to change if you were to damage it or the hose. Not to mention miles cheaper than a new reg.
There are some cheaper options in the market which do not include true flash back arrestors. We however adhere to the safety guidelines of BCGA (British Compressed Gases Association) which stipulates flash back arrestors must be used. When it comes to personal safety we don't mess around. The flash back arrestors on our mini lead welding setup are the same industrial quality as we would supply to a standard gas cutting and welding set. They are German made, IBExU (BAM) approved flash back arrestors fitted with a non-return valve (NV), thermal protection shut off valve (TA) and a flame arrestor (FA). BSENISO5715 part 1 (Was BSENISO 730-1).
Continuing along the line of a proper good quality portable propane Model O setup - we have also kept things simple when it comes to gas. No bespoke threads, no manufacture locking you in to just one brand of gas. The propane cylinder can be bought from any decent DIY or plumbers store (and us too), the oxygen bottle is the most standard oxygen bottle available M10 right hand thread. No silly M12 thread or backwards threads to keep you locked in. Just good honest standard bottles which now includes the better value larger oxygen canister being 2,2L water capacity having 240L oxygen contents.

Important Note - Due to a manufacturing error by the oxygen canister producer they made some 1.9L Oxygen cannisters with the M10 RH connection (should have been a different thread) as a business Noz-Alls Limited were offered these canister at a very cheap price, so the manufacturer could get rid of them. We looked at these canisters as we could pass a really good saving on to you our customers, unfortunately the shorter 1.9L oxygen canisters do not work with our Model "O" Mini gas stand. Please do not use the shorter 1.9L oxygen canisters). The larger 2.2L canisters have been designed to fit correctly.
The set now includes our very latest (June 2025) improved gas stand - this version has a canister clamp which holds two canisters, either propane (blue) or propylene (yellow) plus the larger longer lasting oxygen canister - 2.2L should you only use the smaller oxygen canisters please see our original set which includes the canister clamp for two standard size disposable canisters, one oxygen and one fuel gas. Alternatively for use with the improved gas stand we also have an optional canister clamp which will allow the use of the small oxygen canister, should that be your only option.
Both of our cylinder clamps allow you to store your lead filler strips /tools ready for use.
The latest revision of our canister stand allows the new fuel gas regulator, which has an outlet pressure gauge fitted, to be used.

Why not use MAPP in the yellow canister?
Once upon a time when MAPP was a mixture of methylacetylene plus poly-propadiene, it was a hotter and better gas than propane. True MAPP has however, been an obsolete gas for a long time now. Manufacturers still sell a yellow can of gas and call it things like MAP Pro or MAP Professional but it is in fact just propylene which all told is about 30 degrees C hotter than standard propane. The small extra temperature gain is not why we add the propylene to this set, the extra cost of propylene is worthwhile because burning the propylene uses less oxygen making the set more economical providing a longer run time.

The hottest gas available is acetylene which with a normal flame burns at 3106oC
acetylene is not available in disposable cans. Mixing ratio 1.1::1

This mini gas set makes use of the larger 2.2L oxygen canister which has the standard
M10 right hand thread. The benefit is that this larger canister has 4 times the contents over that of the small original disposable canister size (filled to 60 bar) and just over double the contents of the small canister filled to 110 bar. The greater oxygen volume provides much improved convenience with longer operating times. In the same vein our Mini Lead welding set is provided with the yellow propylene fuel gas canister because the propylene requires a little less oxygen when compared to propane. (Propane is normally in blue canisters).
Even making use of the better value larger oxygen canister the size and weight make this a very compact lead welding unit

The purging to ensure safety both when closing down and before igniting will reduce the effective operating time.
To be able to purge the gases quickly and efficiently always remove the nozzle from the neck, purge each gas in turn, then refit the nozzle.
