Airco Style 149 size 15 Heavy Cutting Oxy / Propane Nozzle

You may notice that nozzle is very similar to the UK nozzle styles such as the PNMH however these Airco style 149 use a larger seat and torch which allows a higher flow thereby allowing a greater cutting thickness than is possible with the PNMH.
 
The American gas equipment industry has a much greater range of heavy cutting equipment across the key OEM companies such as Smith, Victor, Oxweld, Harris and Airco, there are other but they generally only manufacture the standard sizes.

Some of the American nozzles styles have been adopted by various European manufacturers, the key ones being BOC and Messer Griesheim.

The Airco 149 larger size nozzle mix seat is for use with many intermediate cutting torches such as the Oxy - Arc Kutter or our European cutting torches with the SAF G2 size seat.

The nozzle mix principle and seat design has been used and modified by many European OEMs as it provides an excellent platform on which to base their heavy duty cutting equipment - many similar to the BOC PNM30 and BOC PNM60 nozzle ranges.

The Airco 149 cutting nozzle has been manufactured from a solid piece of copper with a drilled and swaged design.  The Airco style 149 adds a large heat sink at the nozzle tip which allows for a much larger pre-heat to be utilised - this of course requires the head nut to be captive.
This nozzle size #15 A149 has 12 pre-heat outlets around the cutting orifice which is 8.4mm (21/64") diameter.

Price Increase
Please note that all our American sourced items have now seen a dramatic shift upward in price we have been informed that this is due to the fact that America has imposed a 50% tariff on all  imported copper.  Copper supply is limited worldwide with Chile being the largest supplier.
America has not been capable of satisfying all their countries needs for copper (about 50%), inefficient higher cost production will now be protected by the tariffs!
This is a long term issue as America is not expected to be self sufficient before 2035
