Compact GG Fuel FBA Flashback Arrestor Torch Mounted With G1/4 Threads
Compact flashback arrestor for use with smaller blowpipes / torches that have G1/4 inlet connection threads. These FBA may be inserted into the gas equipment system by simply disconnecting the hoses and screwing the FBA to the torch then couple the hoses back to the FBA inlet thread.
These torch mount flashback arrestors have two safety devices - NR = non return valve & the FA flame arresting element. There may be a benefit to removing the old torch mounted HCV when working as very low flows so that there is no hysterisis set up between the two none return valves.
These are made in Germany and manufactured to BS EN ISO 5175-1 with a working pressure range from 0 to 1.5 bar gauge with acetylene and 4 bar with propane / hydrogen.
These small torch mounted FBA are ideal for those cheap oxy / fuel gas lead welding gas sets which pretend / falsly claim to have flash back arrestors built in to either the hose or regulator such as the Progas 5000, These small FBA will screw directly to the lead welding torch providing greatly improved safety.

FBA Dia. = 20mm
FBA Hex = 17mm AF
Approx. extra length when screwed to torch and hoses fitted = 40mm
Ideally when fitting the FBA to the torch inlet connections the hose HCV should be removed and replaced with a nut and nipple as this will help prevent any valve hysterisis between the two non-return valves
